Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody

Queen (UK) es uno de los grupos musicales más famoso de la historia. Se fundó la banda en 1971 a manos de Freddie Mercury, una cantante, compositor y músico virtuoso que falleció en 1991 a causa de complicaciones relacionadas al SIDA.
Posee temas insignes que perduran aún ahora entre ellos: Bohemian Rhapsody, Love of my life, Somebody to love, We will rock you, We are the champions y muchos más.
Incluso "Princes of the Univers" se convirtió en tema principal de la película y posterior serie Highlander.

Ahora los dejo con Bohemian Rhapsody, un tema peculiar compuesto de seis secciones claramente identificables, introducción, balada, un solo de guitarra, ópera, rock clásico y clausura.

The darkness - I believe in a thing called love

The darkness es una de mis bandas de rock favoritas, con tan sólo 2 discos lograron un lugar en el duro corazón de todo roquero. Su sonido inconfundible se da principalmente debido al talento de su vocalista, Justin Hawkins. Con sonidos que a veces recordaban a queen, la banda tuvo un éxito inmediato, y rápidamente se hizo conocida en todo el mundo. Lamentablemente, junto con el rock siempre vienen acompañados el trío fatal: alcohol, sexo y drogas, y no fue la excepción para Justin. Fue así como producto del consumo excesivo de drogas, Justin abandonó la banda para continuar con el proceso de rehabilitación, pues para él resultaba incompatible el tocar en el grupo al mismo tiempo que trabajaba en su rehabilitación. Su retirada marcó el fin de the darkness, pero también fue el inicio de un nuevo proyecto en el cual el resto de la banda, junto a un nuevo bajista, conformaron Stone Gods.

El nuevo grupo que se dio a conocer mediante myspace, y que el próximo 25 de febrero publicará su primer EP de título burn the wish, una canción que demuestra que de "the darkness" han pedido solo la voz, pero siguen siendo una excelente banda, no dudamos en ningún momento que tendrán éxito.

La canción que comparto hoy es el primer single de la banda inglesa, el video se destaca por el buen rock ademas del sentido del humor que posee. Disfrutenlo

Este video es uno de mis favoritos. La banda estadounidense incluyó este track en su disco yield, dicha pista fue un exito, a pesar de que nunca fue un single de tal album. Fue el 23 de agosto de 1998 cuando debuto en los estados unidos en un programa de MTV. La estupenda animación que acompaña al video es obra de Todd McFarlane, el creador de spawn, junto a Kevin Altieri, responsable de batman: the animated series.

El otro día desperté muy temprano, como no había nada interesante en la tv, comencé a visitar lentamente los canales. Fue así como en cierto programa me tope con los power rangers. Fue así como al volver a santiago, recordé buscar tremenda canción y quise ompartirla con ustedes.

La historia de dicho programa de tv era mas o menos así:
OMFG zordon! Rita ha escapado de la olla en la que estaba encerrada ¿¡que haremos!?
alpha, recluta a adolescentes con actitud, les daremos poderes consistentes en trajes iguales, con distinto color. Al líder rubio le daremos el traje rojo, a la chica linda le asignaremos el traje rosado, al nerd el traje azul, al negro el traje negro, a la asiática el amarillo. Ademas les enseñaremos a usar nuestros robots super tecnológicos que curiosamente parecen de juguete.

Dejando al margen el programa de tv, al escuchar la introduccion te hace pensar ¡¡OMFG esto es metal!! Cuando era niño quizás fue mi primer metal!! ROFLMFAO. Y siendo sinceros, es un tema que arrasa con muchos otros, si fuera guitarrista, claramente tendria que intentar esa guitarra loca de la introduccion, creo que por ahora tendré que conformarme con frets on fire.
