The darkness es una de mis bandas de rock favoritas, con tan sólo 2 discos lograron un lugar en el duro corazón de todo roquero. Su sonido inconfundible se da principalmente debido al talento de su vocalista, Justin Hawkins. Con sonidos que a veces recordaban a queen, la banda tuvo un éxito inmediato, y rápidamente se hizo conocida en todo el mundo. Lamentablemente, junto con el rock siempre vienen acompañados el trío fatal: alcohol, sexo y drogas, y no fue la excepción para Justin. Fue así como producto del consumo excesivo de drogas, Justin abandonó la banda para continuar con el proceso de rehabilitación, pues para él resultaba incompatible el tocar en el grupo al mismo tiempo que trabajaba en su rehabilitación. Su retirada marcó el fin de the darkness, pero también fue el inicio de un nuevo proyecto en el cual el resto de la banda, junto a un nuevo bajista, conformaron Stone Gods.
El nuevo grupo que se dio a conocer mediante myspace, y que el próximo 25 de febrero publicará su primer EP de título burn the wish, una canción que demuestra que de "the darkness" han pedido solo la voz, pero siguen siendo una excelente banda, no dudamos en ningún momento que tendrán éxito.
